Artist: Maren Day Woods

For the past 8 years, Maren has been honing her skills and creating art using acrylic and mixed media on canvas and paper. Based in the Midwest, she finds solace in painting during the winter months, which brings balance to her life as a writer. Being a Certified Feng Shui Practitioner since 2008, allows her to incorporate the influence of nature on our lives and our influence on nature into her artwork. She sees colors, shapes, and textures as representations of the five elements – water, wood, fire, earth, and metal. Maren’s art serves a purpose beyond aesthetics – to align with the energy of our natural environment and bring harmony and balance into our spaces.
